Accountable

This past Saturday we had our first accountability meeting at Free Form Fitness.  I feel it was a great first meeting and can't wait to watch the group grow and evolve.  Our guest speaker was Chelsea, co owner of Free Form.  I wanted to share with you some of the points she made to help the group set our goals.

Goals
  • Keep your goals revolving.  Always set new goals and adjust your goals to make sure you are always striving to be that little bit better, and that little bit stronger.
  • KEEP TRACK - write down your goals, and track where you are.  This will help you see how far you have come and how far you still need to go.
  • Know the "why" behind your goals.  If your goal is "drop pounds", ask yourself why?  Is is because you want more energy, or to look better in a certain outfit, or to help with your overall heath?  When you ask why you are able to break your goals down and achieve them in steps.  Perhaps you may have not reached your goal weight yet, but you are looking good in that outfit!  This can help you see that you truly are accomplishing something!
  • Set a time line -  It is great to have goals, but if you don't know WHEN you want to reach them, how are you going to push yourself.  For example, one member said she would like to drop 20 lbs, and Chelsea was able to help her set a goal of 2 lbs per week, so her total weight would be gone in 10 weeks.  Having these time lines help you to keep on track.
I will be journaling my goals, and creating a game plan to get to them this week.  I will be starting a excellent cleanse to clean out my system, ya know Spring cleaning!  Tomorrow I will talk about this topic a little more.

Happy Monday!
