RECIPE - Power Oatmeal

This is a great start to any morning, but especially after a big workout the night before.  This is my middle guys FAVORITE oatmeal!  We call it the "BIG BOY Oatmeal!"

  • 1/3 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup rolled spelt flakes
  • 1/3 cup rolled barley flakes
  • 1/4 cup quinoa
  • 1 scoop whey protien (any flavor)
  • 1 tsp cinnamin
  • 1 tsp fresh ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 an apple diced
  • 1 1/2 cup to 2 cups boiling water (depending on how thick you like your oatmeal)
  1. Boil the water
  2. In a bowl combine all dry ingredients and apple and stir together.
  3. Poor boiling water over the mix.
  4. Cover and let sit until water is absorbed.
  5. Top with some  plain low fat yogurt, and enjoy!
