This is a great start to any morning, but especially after a big workout the night before. This is my middle guys FAVORITE oatmeal! We call it the "BIG BOY Oatmeal!"
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup rolled spelt flakes
- 1/3 cup rolled barley flakes
- 1/4 cup quinoa
- 1 scoop whey protien (any flavor)
- 1 tsp cinnamin
- 1 tsp fresh ground nutmeg
- 1/2 an apple diced
- 1 1/2 cup to 2 cups boiling water (depending on how thick you like your oatmeal)
- Boil the water
- In a bowl combine all dry ingredients and apple and stir together.
- Poor boiling water over the mix.
- Cover and let sit until water is absorbed.
- Top with some plain low fat yogurt, and enjoy!
